House by the lake – Cernica, Ilfov

The house occupies a generous, almost flat plot of land, with nice panoramic views onto Cernica Lake. Along with a hobby studio situated in the garden, in the same line with an outdoor pool, the house develops organically out of fragmented volumes, articulated terraces and distinctive elements: pergolas, banisters, barbecue chimney.

The peak of the entire composition is a belvedere-box cladded in zinc, with large glass openings. It is typologically inspired by the traditional loggias of the old Romanian manors. From up there, one can admire the whole landscape.
