This is a timber structure house, with concrete basement clad in local stone. The brief was generating a very compact volume, but also take maximum advantage of the beautiful scenery of the Bran village valley, with impressive views towards the famous Dracula’s Castle located nearby. The layout is therefore a compact one and offers autonomy to the 4 sleeping suites, with private bathroom and double bed each. The timber framework is finished in local pine wood, as the interior uses walnut and cherry tree wood for the floors and some parts of the partition walls. The roof is covered with ceramic tiles.
